In early July, print and radio media responded to our Media Release directed at informing the City of Greater Geelong, Major Roads Projects Victoria and members of the Public about the opportunity of a better relocation outcome for McAteer Bluestone Cottage than using the ‘dismantle, store, rebuild’ method.
Our research indicates an Australian business has the knowledge, methodology, equipment and successful track record to relocate the cottage as a whole building, thereby maintaining the heritage integrity to a higher degree than the slower problematic ‘dismantle, store, rebuild’ method.
